comScore has released a study of the online travel industry in India based on data from its 'Media Metrix'.
The study finds that the number of visitors to travel sites increased 32 percent in the past year to 18.5 million visitors.
The results will be part of 'State of the Internet India' webinar to be held by the company on Tuesday next.
As per the study, the Indian Railways were the most-visited travel destination with 8.4 million visitors. Online Travel Agent sites came the next with MakeMyTrip (3.9 million), Yatra Online (3.5 million), ClearTrip.com (2.1 million) and Expedia Inc. (1.8 million). Other leading online travel sites are: TravelAdNetwork, Mustseeindia.com, Indiarailinfo.com, Redbus.in and HolidayIQ.com.
