India travel: caution to foreign travelers

DON'T VISIT DELHI TILL OCTOBER

I have not been writing for some time due to other preoccupations. However, I felt it my duty towards visitors to this blog to caution them about this. Please do not visit Delhi till October because of the Common Wealth Games.
The Delhi government and others involved in the arrangement for the games have made a mess of city infrastructure. Exceptional rains have only added to their and Delhiites' woes. Things will be worse during the games slated for October 3-14. After that too, it will take at least a fortnight to clear the mess to manageable limits.
Dengue is spreading wing over the city, and malaria, seasonal flu and eye flu will follow. So, dear domestic and international visitors, postpone your visit to Delhi till October end if you can.
